  2. Am I missing something here? Why is it essential that the CEO know the 
  3. technology inside and out. His job is to manage the personnel of the 
  4. compnay and make sure things run smoothly. I don't believe he's going to 
  5. be doing tech support or deciding tech issues.

  8. A valid point - but I think managing the personnel and making things run
  9. smoothly in a high tech company is slightly different then running, let's
  10. say, a restaurant. There are issues involved that you need to grasp to
  11. MAKE things run smoothly, and I view some knowledge of computers or
  12. desktop video as important....-some- knowledge. This is just my opinion,
  13. of course, obviously some people don't feel that way.
