- Am I missing something here? Why is it essential that the CEO know the
- technology inside and out. His job is to manage the personnel of the
- compnay and make sure things run smoothly. I don't believe he's going to
- be doing tech support or deciding tech issues.

- A valid point - but I think managing the personnel and making things run
- smoothly in a high tech company is slightly different then running, let's
- say, a restaurant. There are issues involved that you need to grasp to
- MAKE things run smoothly, and I view some knowledge of computers or
- desktop video as important....-some- knowledge. This is just my opinion,
- of course, obviously some people don't feel that way.
